Saladin Kenya Ltd. was established in 2010 to manage Saladin’s Kenyan and East African regional security operations. The company is based in Karen, Nairobi, and currently manages a variety of physical and training operations. Saladin Kenya Ltd. is part of the Saladin Security group of companies.

Job summary:

The International Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and growing current operations in Kenya and the East Africa region. This includes managing the Saladin team and office in Karen, Nairobi. In addition, the International BD Manager will spearhead a new global business development initiative focussing on online training, in close coordination with the Saladin offices in Dubai and London. The position reports to the Saladin Kenyan Board of Directors.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve client relationships and operational standards, in accordance with contractual commitments and best practice, at all current Saladin Kenya projects.
  • Develop, initiate, and manage a business development and marketing strategy for Saladin’s online security training products, in coordination with the Saladin offices in Dubai and London and our joint venture partners.
  • Manage the ongoing implementation of online security training courses for current clients and students.
  • Responsible for P&L and financial integrity.
  • Create and manage a business development strategy for Saladin Kenya, actively seeking new business opportunities across the region.
  • Develop and expand Saladin Kenya’s security intelligence products.
  • Manage the Saladin Kenya team and offices in Nairobi.
  • Ensure compliance with Saladin policies, statutory business requirements and contractual obligations.


  • Proven business administration, business management and business development experience in East Africa.
  • Business development experience within the security sector with a proven track record.
  • Experience in selling to international clients and able to sell to a multi-cultural client base
  • Well networked
  • Security industry background (commercial, military and/or police).
  • Relevant experience in security management at project manager or country manager level in East Africa.
  • Post-graduate degree in business administration or a relevant business or security discipline preferable.
  • Training / online training management experience a huge advantage.
  • Intelligence products experience preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Excellent computer skills (particularly MS Office).
