Campaign Director

This is a senior management contract position for 7 months to act as Campaign Director, reporting to the Group Head of Sales. Based from their Head Office in Kenya, you will be selling their online payment services to customers in the Travel, Airline and e-commerce sectors. 

Key Competencies

  • Immediate report line to the Group Head of Sales and the Group CEO
  • Creates the masterplan for an effective sales campaign to deliver all targets and maximize impact on behalf of the Group and its Campaign Partner
  • Strategise and achieve effective grassroots sales competence, approach and target focused results
  • Originate weekly debrief and high level report with results & forecasts for presentation to the Group Senior Management Team and the Campaign Partner
  • Excellent reporting skills (both verbal and written)
  • Numerate and articulate with the ability to manage and motivate field sales teams
  • Excellent face-to-face presentation skills
  • Solid team management & motivation experience
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to ensure teams meet all deadlines & targets
  • The ability to work under pressure

CORE SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at a senior level in an FMCG environment
  • Competency with Office Systems: Email, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience with a CRM system including report analysis
  • A proven people person with the ability to plan & implement a field sales campaign
  • Superior planning skills

Job Responsibilities

  • To deliver a result based successful campaign as ‘Proof of Concept’ for future roll outs & partnerships in other markets
  • To achieve key targets and metrics during the contract period
  • To direct the campaign from training, selling, activation and overall project management
  • To represent DPO’s core values to all audiences: Responsibility, Leadership, Innovation

Main Tasks

  • To recruit, train and direct all activities for 8 qualified field sales teams to achieve targets within a 6 month time frame
  • To conceptualise the field plan and ensure it is implemented successfully both in terms of geographical cover and results
  • To receive all reports and compile senior management & campaign partner briefing material on a weekly and monthly basis
  • To deliver the key results within agreed budget and deadlines
  • To ensure ‘Proof of Concept’ and a workable campaign strategy for roll out in other African markets
